Sabers Specialties picked again to build the Official 2008 Sturgis Rally Motorcycle
After a very successful raffle at the 2007 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the Sturgis, SD Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation has once again awarded Sabers Specialties the contract to build the official custom motorcycle of the 2008 Rally to be raffled off Saturday August 9th, 2008.
We have teamed up with a multitude of industry leaders and innovators to create a very unique bike for 2008. The list so far includes Independent Cycle Inc (frame, tank, primary), Legend Air Suspension (air ride), S&S Cycle (engine), JIMS (transmission), Dakota Digital (gauges) & Renegade Wheels (wheels). We have also joined forces with Maverick Publishing (American Cycle & American Bagger Magazines) to showcase the building of the bike. In addition, thanks to help of Howard Kelly at S&S Cycle, we will building an EPA-compliant motorcycle that will be a true collector's item for any Sturgis fan and an amazing piece of machinery for any rider.

Owner Blake Sabers has been chosen to join 49 of the top builders from around the world to compete in S&S Cycle's premiere event at their upcoming 50th Anniversary celebration June 26-29th. This is a huge honor for the crew at SS since there is only 50 builders asked to participate and the competition just to be a part of the event is so great. A total of 50 specially built and numbered engines across 6 of S&S's models are made available to the competition builders. Sabers Specialties has been placed into the S&S V class providing us with a 50th anniversary 124" Evo motor. 
The charitable foundation for the NBA's 2001 Rookie of the Year and Mitchell, SD native, Mike Miller, has chosen Sabers Specialties to build a special bike to be auctioned off to benefit the various charities of the Mike Miller Foundation. Needless to say, we are honored to work with Mike and his generous foundation to continue our charitable work and show our support for another great organization.Plans for the bike are currently in the early stages, so keep checking back for more info!
